We hereby wish to express our gratitude to Mary Jo for providing on personal basis funds for a first development of domusBITae and the presentation of the initiative at the 4th International Conference on Foundations of Information Science, Beijin, 20-23 August 2010.
The gesture was followed by the contribution to the support of the Science of Information Institute by other members of its Science Advisory Committee. We also wish to thank these generous gestures. As Dail Doucette mentioned, is this kind of generous spirit what really furthers science and society.
The support provided by Mary Jo, is aimed for developing a new web for the SciI. In order to meet the paths of this SciI necessity and the advancement and promotion of domusBITae, the funds will be used for developing a Content Manager System for domusBITae demonstration (module 1), whereas the contents of the SciI will be incorpored by José María Díaz. The process follows a 3 steps procedure:
- Preliminary design conducted by José María under the advise of Mario Pérez-Montoro (as expert in Information Architecture);
- Development of the CMS by an Spanish company, ISFERE, which partake willing to get involved in domusBITae initiative;
- SciI Content customization by José María.
