Planed for full development at a national level, domusBITae initiative has been proposed on past 14 June 2010 to a Spanish Research Funding Programme of the Ministry of Industry. The proposed action is projected for a mid-term internalization of the virtual community under European Research Area support, thus matching overall domusBITae strategy.

The funding programme, named plan AVANZA, is aimed to the promotion of the Information Society. Following programme objectives the project was presented under the title: "domusBITae: virtual community for the promotion of a Sustainable Information Society" planning the development of all domusBITae modules. The proponent team is constituted by the Spanish Members of domusBITae: ULE, BITrum, INTECO, UB and UC3.

For this national action domusBITae development is distributed as follows:
  • coordination (ULE),
  • content manager and information architecture advise (UB),
  • directory and scientific advise (BITrum),
  • repository (ULE),
  • WG toolkit and accessibility and security advise (INTECO)
  • inter-community glossary (UC3).
